Dustin Morris is a Singer, Songwriter, and Multi-instrumentalist who finds home in the places and faces he gets to know on the road. His music is best described as Hozier and Amos Lee dancing to Arcade Fire.
Dustin hails from South Texas. His music took root under the Family Tree in Dallas, Texas launching him into the Front Range under that Rocky Mountain Sky surrounded by the Colorado Music Scene. You may have caught Dustin in everything from intimate solo acoustic performances to full band experiences (Until They Arrive, Brave Song Circle and Edison).
Trained in Opera, Jazz, and the greatest teacher known as The Road, Dustin combines his classic vocal training with street-wise creativity to form a rugged ethereal sound. Lyrics are caressed and crooned as they tell the chronicle of an artist living between the tension of creation and love.
After 3 years on the road with Edison, Dustin is moving back into focus with the singer/songwriter part of his soul. He’s hitting the road with new music, a fresh perspective on the communities that support Local creators, and a passionate need to make his sound heard.
Perpetually ON TOUR NOW, Dustin is coming to a city near you–with Vmo the Van, Gwydion the Snow Wolff, and Amy–promoting original music written on the crisscrossing highways of America over the past three years.
After spending 5 years touring the US and beyond as a solo artist and with his bands, Dustin has played SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Folk Alliance International, TreeFort Music Fest, Westword Music Showcase, Underground Music Showcase, Breckenridge International Arts Festival, AEG’s Bluebird Theater, Album Release at House of Blues Hollywood, Film on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Jam in the Van, and So Far Sounds – NYC. He has shared the stage with Iron & Wine, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats, Langhorne Slim, Young The Giant, Cake, Hey Marseilles, Jared & The Mill, Jon Foreman (of Switchfoot), Paperbird, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Soorleys, Shook Twins, & Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes.
